Fox facts?
What a shocker! Fox News are running a report on the Downing Street memo and the fact that it has been largely ignored by the media. The memo you may know is the document which proves that Bush & Blair lied about the reasons for invading Iraq. (There's a link on the right to fuller details on the memo.)
In typical Fox fashion they only report on and don't really challenge White House spokesman Scott McClellan's comment that there is "no need" to respond to the memo, though it does certainly give more of the anti war perspective that I was expecting. In fact criticism of the memo is left mainly to "Kevin Aylward, a northern Virginia-based technology consultant who runs a conservative-leaning blog", which is progress, albeit ironic progress after Fox joined the right wing rage against bloggers recently.
So, Fox News almost living up to their "Fair & Balanced" tag and indulging in some real journalism. Who'd have thunk it? I'm sure it is in no way related to the fact that their viewing figures are in free-fall, having dropped from a primetime average of 1,074,000 in October 2004 to 445,000 in April 2005.
