Tiananmen

The identity of the gentleman below is unknown. His bravery is unquestioned.

Sixteen years ago today an unknown number of democracy protesters were massacred when the People's Army was turned against the people. Those not killed were arrested and disappeared. It's not known how many remain in prison.

China is the latest 'opportunity' in the global investment business, hundreds of millions of $$ and ££ are flooding into the country. It's blood money. It's feeding a regime that cares not one jot for its people or its culture. It's a regime which knows that it is the biggest market in the world and so can get away with murder as it did 16 years ago. I have nothing against development, most of China is poor and crying out for investment. But there is a difference between development and exploitation. Please check your own pension and savings funds. Switch from Far East and China funds. Make your money honourably.
