Southampton is axing 530 jobs as manufacturing is transferred elsewhere in Europe.
British American Tobacco said it would not shut the site as 475 posts in research, development and distributions would remain there.

Do you think the government will stump up some sort of aid package like they did for Rover employees?
If they promise me a fresh heart and lungs from a teenage health freak, I'll be more than happy to resume consumption at my previous level.
